2023

A selection of Renee's painting and digital collage prints are included in the exhibion "Territoires sous observation". The exhibition takes place in May and is is a part of the Festival Culturel de Mayo in Guadalaja, Mexico. Afterwards, the exhibition will travel to the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Querétaro (MACQ) in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico 

 

Renee is the designated mentor for this year's Mentored Residency Program at M.I.S.S.A. at Shawinagan Lake on Vancouver Island.

2022

A painting exhibition entitiled Bloom featuring Renee's most recent paintings opens at the Herringer Kiss Gallery on May 7. The exhibition will run until June 11.
 
After 36 years in Montreal, Renee relocated back to her hometown of Vanvouver .

2021

For the first time, Renee has publically issued a series of her digital collages. A selection of the prints will be exhibited in June at the Herringer Kiss Gallery in Calgary, Alberta.


2020

Renee was selected as one of three finalists for a public arts project of the Politique d’intégration des arts à l’architecture, Québec (1%)

 

2019

 

Renée will be exhibiting some recent work at Occurrence Espace d'art et d'essai contemporains in Montreal from November 1rst to Decenber 20th as part of the gallery's 30th anniversary programming.

 

Renée's work will be included in a group show entitled Terrestrial Beings at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre in Medicine Hat, Alberta. The exhibition runs from June 8th to August 3rd.

2018

Devotions, an exhibition of Renee's paintings from 2017-18 will be on at the Herringer-Kiss Gallery in Calgary. The show opens March 8th and runs until April 7th.

 

Renée is giving a 5 day painting workshop from June 25th to 29th at the The Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts.

2017

Delirium, an exhibition of new work will be exhibited at the Galerie d'Art d'Outremont in Montreal from January 12th to February 5th. Short video of the exhibition: Renée Duval - Delirium

 

Brown's Hill. Renée is part of a group exhibition of 5 artist at the McClure Gallery in Montreal from May 25 to June 17, 2017. The exhibition travels to the Colby Curtis Museum in Stanstead, Qc. July 2017. Catalogue available.

2015

Gods and Monsters will be exhibited from September 5th to October 10th at the Herringer-Kiss Gallery in Calgary.

 

As part of the Art and Ideas presentations at the Visual Arts Centre in Montreal Renée is giving a presentation along side painter Michael Merrill entitled "My 10 favorite paintings" -May 20th at 7pm

 

The duo exhibition entitled Above and Beyond featuring the work of Renée Duval and Melissa Doherty runs from March 14th to April 25th at Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art in Guelph, Ontario

 

2014

Gods and Monsters exhibition opens October 30th at the McClure Gallery in Montreal.

 

The show is accompanied by an exhibition catalogue featuring conversation between Renée and painter David Elliott. The conversation from the catalogue is available here (pdf)

2013

Renee Duval's is exhibited at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C. as part of a group exhibition.

 

Renée received an Artistic Practice Grant from the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec.

 

2012

February 23rd -March 24. Now Skyward is Renée Duval's second solo at the Angell Gallery in Toronto.

 

2011

January 8 to February 26 - Renée Duval's solo exhibition entitled Concentric Longing shows at Galerie Art Mûr in Montreal. With a publication/catalogue: (pdf) The exhibition was reviewed on Radio-Canada

 

March 5 - 31 - What About Now , a solo exhibition in her home town of Vancouver, B.C. at the Elissa Cristall Gallery. The show was featured in Preview and in the Vancouver Sun.

 

November 5 - December 17th - Renée's work was included in a group exhibition curated by David Elliott called Between the Cracks Picturing the Fourth Dimension at galerie OBORO in Montreal.

 

2010

January -Renée Duval had a solo exhibition at the Herringer-Kiss Gallery in Calgary, Alberta. The show features the work Philoscopes based on web cam images of Vancouver.

2009

Renée Duval's work was selected for the publication Carte Blanche Vol 2 -Painting. A survey of contemporary paintings in Canada published by Magenta publishing for the Arts.

 

Renée's work was included in the publication RBC Canadian Painting Competition: 10 Years

 

Renée had a solo exhibition called Transitories at the Herringer-Kiss Gallery in Calgary.

 

Renée also had solo exhibition entitled Qualia at Galerie Art Mûr in Montreal. The accompanying text entitled Skyhigh was written by David Elliott. There was a gallery publication for this show
